The Veterinary Cat Clinic

Just had my first home visit to carry out the yearly check up and vaccinations for my cats Lottie and Luca. Absolutely amazing. Both my cats are quite shy and anxious and I wanted to try if a home visit would suit them better than a trip to the clinic. While the cat clinic set up is fantastic as well, the home visit was so much less stressful. I love the clat clinic anway but the offered home visits are an additional huge plus. Thanks a lot for a calm and relaxed visit. Luca is back to his favourite spot in the cupboard and Lottie is already roaming around as usual.

I just came here for the first time after moving to the country with my 7 year old cat. We had an amazing experience and i’m so happy to have a great dr. so close to home. We did a check up after travels to make sure everything was ok and the staff was extremely kind and informative, they answered all my questions and were kind and patient with my cat.

The best vet in Edinburgh for your feline friends! I cannot speak highly enough about the Cat Clinic, we have two cats and one of them is sadly always unwell and requires regular veterinary support. He is never a happy chap having to go to the vet, but every vet we see for appointments handles him and his grumpiness about being there so well! A professional service, friendly staff and excellent care - there is no other vets in Edinburgh I'd trust with my furry wee boys.

It’s taken me a while to write this because I wanted to be sure. My old cat was registered here and died. Before death the vet spoke to me on the phone regarding options, they didn’t tell me it would be a phone consultation costing over £30. This isn’t about the money, it’s about the principle at a very distressing for us time. They also had trainees there on every appointment. My cat was poked and prodded twice due to trainee learning. As far is I’m concerned, yes they need to learn but I don’t want any cat of mine getting double stress at the vets due to trainees being taught there. The only and I mean only potential advantage to this vet over others imo, is that they only have cats in so you don’t have to worry about dogs upsetting the cats. Other than that , I see no advantage. And even then a lot of practices have a dog section and a cat section in the waiting room these days, so even that one potential advantage, may not be a good enough to choose this over others. I have since registered elsewhere with our new addition. Luckily there are plenty of decent vets to choose from in Edinburgh.

I will honestly say hands down one of the best vets in edinburgh, so professional, sufficient and not only cares about your pets, but your own opinions aswell!! my cat is very old, he’s slowly going into his last legs, but still amazingly well for his age, they helped me for so long over the years of supporting me, and understanding i don’t want to let him go, i’ll always let friends and family know about this vet and future people with pets, if you want somewhere that actually cares for your animals rather than money, come here
